Caveat Actor et the ides of Mars

This time of year is especially interesting weatherwise, in Colorado. There is a saying which I have heard for the better part of my life, as I am a native of this state and the city of Denver, and it goes thus:
March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb,
OR it enters like a lamb and leaves like a lion.

If you are puzzling over this saying then you have never lived for any amount of time here. It means that March will either start with a huge snowstorm and exit with Spring obviously approaching or it will come in very mild and end with a blizzard of epic proportions. Well, we are very likely to experience the latter this year since we haven’t had a single snowflake for about two weeks.

The most drole part of this is that Colorado weather is schizoid anyway. We have another saying which is very, very true. If you don’t like the weather here in Colorado, wait a minute. What more can I say?
