Here is one poem from my book Seasons of the Heart:
slithering away from
the loud music
to a silent insane asylum
in the softness of green mildew
and corrosion
to heal from the burns
of time misspent
on touches
of unplaced feelings
in the damp
becomes comatose
on the walls
lizards have left their
like meaningless graffiti
when they leave
there is nothing left
but shedded skins.
