World Cup Blues

    Pushed too far? Maybe.

If you are more than slightly miffed about the outcome of the way the final match between France and Italy came out, you can join a club. It’s called the World Cup Blues Club and it consists of all those people who watched it all over the world and found Italy’s tactics more than slightly shady.

We keep hearing and reading over and over again about what Zidane did but did anybody other than me notice a slight between an Italian player and Ribery? I’ve yet to see anyone get their ankle trapped by someone’s foot, make a complete turn, and not seriously twist their ankle. He went down but got right back up. It was a miracle. Did anyone show the red card to Italy for that indescretion? No.

How about when someone decided to do the bonzai on Zidane’s shoulder? (This was before he did his head butt on what’s-his-face!) It was so obvious that he was injured and yet was any call made on that? Well, did you see it? Absolutely not.

If you are disgruntled about this, leave a comment. Better yet, check out what my amigo di Francia, Kent-o, has to say about it. I feel his views are valid as well. http://kentinogauchodasilva.spaces.live.com  and check in the archives ! Sorry if you can’t get him from the link. Seems Kentino has decided to go totally private.
