At this time of year many of us contemplate our progress or victories and achievements. Others will just reminisce about the past or take time to readjust their focus for next year. We have common trials to bear together and as a nation we have to share in the same defeats and setbacks quite often.
Over the years I have found that there is always something to be thankful for- just count your blessings and you’ll see what I mean. Now, more than ever, we, as families and as a nation, need to sit down together and give thanks and praise that we live in a country that has been so blessed by God- not only materialistically but for all those great character traits and habits that we inherited from our forefathers which in turn made our country great. Courage, strength, charity, resiliency and even fortitude to carry on when nothing is going our way, are our trademarks as U.S. citizens no matter where we originated.
I believe that this nation continues to be great because we are people who can stop in the midst of our problems and trials and show gratitude for the tools we have in our hands. These tools have made a difference in our lives and the lives of people all over the world. This year, let’s allow gratitude to lead the way and together we can achieve our common goals.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
